Spiny water flea detection: precautions to limit its spread
The spiny water flea, an invasive aquatic species, has been detected in the Réservoir Baskatong, on the south-eastern edge of Réserve faunique La Vérendrye. To limit the spread of the spiny water flea, it's essential to properly clean your personal watercraft before launching it in other bodies of water. You should also inspect your equipment that has been in contact with the water (trailer, motor, livewell, fishing gear, etc.) and remove any adhering organisms.
